Coronavirus battle: How rescue inhaler saved Pink

Pink became dependent on a rescue inhaler as she struggled to breathe during her recent fight with the coronavirus.

The Walk Me Home singer revealed earlier this month that she and her three-year-old son Jameson had both tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

Pink and her little boy are now back to full health, but she opened up about their struggles with the disease during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’s at-home chat show, airing on Thursday.

“At a certain point, maybe around March 18th, March 19th, March 20th, when (Jameson’s) fever was staying and going up, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t breathe,” she said. “I needed my nebuliser for the first time in 30 years.

“I have this inhaler that I use, a rescue inhaler, and I couldn’t function without it. And that’s when I started to get really scared.”

Her symptoms then transferred to Jameson, her youngest child with husband Carey Hart, with the tot complaining of chest pains and struggling to breathe.

“That’s the point where you just kind of like (think), ‘Okay, are we going to the hospital? Like, what are we doing right now? Because this is the scariest thing that I’ve ever, ever been through in my whole life,'” the 40-year-old explained.

Pink and Jameson were both re-tested for the virus two weeks later, with the results coming back as negative.

Since battling the virus, the star has donated $1 million (£820,000) to help others, who don’t have the same resources she does, fight the disease. Musicnews
