Weeping as gunmen kill six-year-old girl, six others in fresh Kaduna attack

Some gunmen were said to have invaded the Gora Gan community in Zango – Kataf Local Area of Kaduna, killing seven people including a 70-year-old man and a six-year-old girl.

It was gathered that four among those killed during the incident which happened Thursday night were members of the same family.

Also, no fewer than 13 houses and two shops were razed by the gunmen who came in their large numbers and shot indiscriminately in the community about 8:00 pm.

Scores of persons sustained injuries during the attack.

A government statement confirmed and condemned the attack on Friday.

Similarly, it also said the government was informed of another indiscriminate shooting on the Fadan Kagoma-Kwoi Road in Jema’a Local Government Area on Friday.

It said a driver was shot by the gunmen but has been stabilized while governor El-Rufai had ordered an investigation into the shooting.

The statement was titled, ‘KDSG condemns attack on Gora Gan community as El-Rufai directs immediate relief intervention’.

The statement read in part, “The security agencies carrying out internal security operations in parts of southern Kaduna State have reported that Gora Gan community in Zangon Kataf local government came under attack on Thursday night. Punch
