Few days after he was locked up by police, Burna Boy released on N100K bail

He was released after he paid the sum of N100,000 – His case has been adjourned to December 29, 2017 Few days after he was detained by police following his indictment in the recent attack on another musician Mr 2kay, Burna Boy has been released on bail.

As a result of his issues with the police, Burna Boy had to cancel his show billed for Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was arraigned at the magistrate court in Ikeja on Monday, December 18, 2017.

The popular musician was charged with two counts; accessory to the fact and hoarding of information because he knew about the attack on 2kay at Eko hotel and refused to inform the police.

His lawyer Bright Idahosa applied for bail on his behalf. The bail was granted with one surety and the payment of N100,000. The lawyer for Mr 2Kay’s record label, Grafton Records, did not object to the bail because they feel the charges against Burna Boy are bailable and as a result, Burna Boy cannot be remanded in prison.

The case has been adjourned to December 29, 2017. naij
