Again, Fayose, Olujimi supporters clash at PDP secretariat

Supporters of former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and those of Senator Biodun Olujimi clashed at the Peoples Democratic Party Secretariat on Ajilosun Road in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.

Windows of the secretariat were vandalised and the tyres of a white Toyota Sienna vehicle parked in the compound were deflated in the clash.

The two groups were at the secretariat for a date with the Appeal Panel for the PDP ward congresses, which held in the state on Saturday.

Senator Olujimi alleged that the supporters of the former governor attacked her supporters “because we caught them in that dastardly act at Petim Guest House on Saturday; they thought they could right the wrongs with the appeal panel by being violent.”

But Fayose’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, alleged that the violence was perpetrated by Olujimi’s supporters.

Olayinka said, “They were the ones who filed a petition at the appeal panel. Do you file a petition against a congress you claimed to have won?” Punch
