Again, two killed as rival cults clash in Delta community

Two persons were shot dead after rival cults clashed on Tuesday at the Akara Junction, along Iyara Road, in the Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

PUNCH Metro gathered that one other person, who sustained gunshot wounds, however, escaped from the scene of the incident.

Details of what led to the shooting spree were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.

It was also unclear as to whether or not the deceased were members of any of the rival cults.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.

She said, “Three people were shot and two died. One of those who died was already on the police wanted list. He was among those who killed somebody too.” Punch
