Anger as hoodlums invade automobile market, steal cars worth N10m

Hoodlums on Tuesday night invaded Imo State automobile market situated on the Aba – Owerri road in Owerri, and allegedly stole and vandalised goods estimated at N10m.

This happened when the automobile dealers clashed with the officers of the 211 regiment group of the Nigeria Airforce base, Owerri, resulting to them blocking the highway in protest.

Briefing newsmen before embarking on the demonstration, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Imo State automobile market, Mr. Rufus Osueke, said that to the chagrin of all motor sellers in the market, they came to the market in the morning for the day’s activities only to see that the market had been vandalised.
