Anger, tension in Imo over killing of lecturer, graduate by security agents

ANGER has engulfed Imo State as security agents, whose formation had yet to be identified, have shot dead Steve Nduka, a lecturer at Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, the state capital.

Our correspondent gathered that the lecturer, Steven Nduka, was shot dead in his Toyota ER 330 Sport Utility Vehicle in front of the base of Air Force along Owerri-Aba Road.

A source told our correspondent that some security agents killed Nduka, who was of the Computer Science Department of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, alongside one of his students.

The source said, “The lecturer was driving and suddenly, security agents fired gunshots and the lecturer and fresh graduate of Computer Science of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Nwokoro Chimaobi, were dead.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said an autopsy would be carried out to determine the cause of their death. Punch
