August Alsina speaks on his battle with liver disease

 

If you have been wondering where popular musician August Alsina has been, he recently revealed that he has been battling liver disease.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported back in 2014 that he fainted on stage during a performance in New York and he was in a coma that lasted for three days.

Speaking to his close friend actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, August said he is determined not to his health struggles get the best of him.

“Sat down with my favorite person on planet earth to have one of the most HEALING conversations. I hope it’s as healing for you as it was for us. I pray that you not only hear me but you FEEL me. This shall soon come,” he said in the interview.

He later added that “I have a liver disease where my autoimmune system is fighting itself. The reality is that I’m sick all the time. I don’t really like to talk about it because I’m not looking for anybody’s sympathy. Don’t treat me like I’m a f*cking cancer patient because I’m not.”
