Banky W joins politics, declares for House of Reps

Pop singer, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in House of Representatives on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party.

He made the declaration during the party’s convention on Saturday.

A tweet posted on the singer’s tweeter page read in part, “You see, my entire life has been a story of just dreaming dreams, praying about those dreams, setting goals, and working until they come true.

“I can live with trying and failing. I can not live with not trying.

“So while we may not have a godfather, we do have God” Punch
