Brothers at war! Amaechi, Abe feud will destroy Rivers APC

 The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Timi Frank, has said the feud between the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and Senator Magnus Abe, will destroy the party in Rivers State if not properly handled.

Frank said this while reacting to the sacking of some party leaders in the state over their alleged complicity in plans aimed at assisting Abe to achieve his 2019 governorship ambition.

In a statement he signed in Abuja, on Saturday, the APC chieftain warned the national leadership of the party against waiting until things worsen before intervening.

Frank urged the party leadership to learn from the ongoing crisis in the Kogi State chapter of the party by ensuring that whatever differences exist between the two party leaders is resolved amicably before it gets out of hand.

He said, “Our leaders need to be proactive in resolving some of these crises. What is happening in Kogi, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Kano and many other states today is as a result of lack of capacity by the APC National Working Committee under Chief John Odigie-Oyegun which I have always warned about.”Punch
