Celine Dion has felt better than ever since reaching the milestone age of 50.

The All By Myself hitmaker reflected on the first five decades of her life during an interview with Elle U.S. magazine, and confessed to the publication that she has a newfound confidence since reaching her 50th birthday last year (18).

“My life started over at 50; I feel happy, I feel beautiful,” the star beamed. “I thought, ‘I must have done something right for this to be happening’.”

The Canadian songstress also opened up about life since the loss of her husband and manager Rene Angelil, who died of a heart attack following a long battle with throat cancer in 2016.

While Celine has openly expressed her heartbreak over the situation, she confessed during the chat that she is intent on moving forward and living life to the fullest, but added she is still learning to embrace the new attitude and perspective.

“I’ve reached a point in my life where I can let myself make my own decisions and choices,” the 51-year-old admitted. “Now I am discovering myself more and more. I am a woman assuming her own destiny, full of energy and in love with life. It’s never too late to start.”

The My Heart Will Go On singer, who has children Rene-Charles, 18, and eight-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy with Rene, also shared that she wants other women to follow her lead, find their inner confidence and become more liberated.

“Telling other women that they, too, have self-worth, that they are strong, is obviously really important,” she insisted. “You cannot limit yourself.”musicnews
