Cold war! Adekunle Gold opens up on rumoured beef with Olamide
Ever since it was announced that Orente singer, Adekunle Gold, had left Olamide’s YBNL Records, a lot of tongues have been wagging that the duo fell out and could no longer work together again. Even though both artistes have repeatedly denied hard feelings between them, some fans still think otherwise.
Gold said to Sunday Scoop, “I wonder why people keep saying things like this. Both me and Olamide have come out to say it severally that we are still on good terms. Even before Olamide signed me, he had always said that he had a mission to build artistes and then release them into the world, so they can in turn raise other stars. Every artiste in YBNL had that mindset and after the expiration of my contract, it was only right for me to move on. YBNL is still my family and we would continue to do things together with one love.”
Whether he would be signing artistes to his Gold record label, he said, “There has to be a structure in place before we can think of that. But of course, that’s the plan in the long run.”Punch
