Ex-BBA Housemate, Huddah Monroe, says women encourage domestic violence

Kenyan socialite and former Big Brother Africa Housemate, Alhuda Njoroge, popularly known as Huddah Monroe, took to social media to blame women who stay in an abusive relationship for too long.

She also said women were to blame for domestic violence. “If you don’t encourage it in the first place, it would not happen again and again”

“If he slaps you once, he will do it again,” she wrote.

In a series of posts targeted at people who post “Say no to domestic violence” on Instagram, the model expressed disgust at the use of social media to air dirty linens in public and especially to followers who she says do not have a right to know everything going on with you.

Monroe said though she had been a victim of domestic violence, the signs were always a pointer right from the outset.

She further advised that women should act fast once they see evidence of domestic violence for the first time.

She indicated that it is almost an impossible feat to change a violent spouse, so it is better to just leave at the first sign.
