Former Chelsea assistant coach, Gianfranco Zola has warned Italian clubs to be wary of Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen while adding that he has what it takes to become the new Romelu Lukaku in the Serie A.

Zola’s comment is coming on the heels of Osimhen’s extraordinary brilliant performances in the new campaign season with Napoli which has seen him racking up three goals after just four matches in all competitions this season.

“Napoli are really strong in every department,” Zola, a former Napoli and Italy striker told Italian tabloid La Gazzeta dello Sport.

“They have Osimhen, Insigne and Politano up front, they have quality in midfield, a solid defence with Kalidou Koulibaly and two reliable goalkeepers. I can’t see weak points in their team.

” I didn’t know Osimhen when he arrived last year, but I’ve studied him a little and I’ve discovered a talented player.

“His movements are so good and his athletic strength can be devastating. He is Lukaku’s heir, he is still young and with room for improvement.”

Osimhen,22, joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020 netting 10 goals in 30 appearances for Partenopei during his first season at the club.
