Excitement as Bovi, Gordons, storm Onitsha for Glo Laffta Fest

Ace comedian, Bovi Ugboma and his counterpart, Godwin Komone popularly known as Gordons, will on Sunday storm the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State for the soar-away flagship comedy show, Glo Laffta Fest owned by telecommunications operator, Globacom.

 

Other humour merchanants who are billed to perform at the event include Frank D Don, Senator and other equally accomplished comedians.

Also, Nollywood stars, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor and Angela Okorie will grace the occasion scheduled to hold at the CJ Patterson International Auditorium Complex, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha at 2pm, while Juliet Ibrahim and Uche Jombo, will anchor the show.

 

Globacom said in a press statement that “It is going to be an extra-ordinary Independence Day celebration in Onitsha on Sunday. The show has gone round major cities in Nigeria, dispensing uncommon fun and excitement. Onitsha will be no different. People of Onitsha and environs should prepare to have fun like never before.”

 

Meanwhile, the artistes have assured Glo subscribers in Onitsha and environs of an exhilarating time at the show, “Onitsha, get ready for us as we come on Sunday. We are going to give you like you like it, hot and spicy. It’s going to be fun like you’ve never seen before,” Bovi posits.

 

On his own part, ‘Bishop of Osusu Ministry’, as Gordons is fondly known said: “Let everyone in Onitsha tell everyone else that I am coming to minister on Sunday. Prepare for an unforgettable evening of fun. You cannot afford to miss this”.

Glo subscribers who wish to attend the show are expected to expend  up to N2,000 credit within one month and text LOL with the location name to the short code 240; for example, “LOL Onitsha” to 240. Those who fail to satisfy this criterion but desire to attend the show are required to arrive the venue of the comedy show with N2000 to purchase airtime for their own use consequent upon which they will be entitled to entry tickets.

 

The show proceeds to Makurdi in Benue State from Onitsha before going to Ajah in Lagos.

 

The Onitsha event is the 25th edition and coincides with Nigeria’s 57th Independence.
