This is cheering news for Nigeria’s leading female flutist, Ebele and her teeming fans.

The Okija, Anambra State-born diva was recently honoured with an ‘Inspirational Women’s Award, amid applause and ovation
DAYLIGHT.NG was reliably informed that the historic event, which was well attended, held elaborately at Gardens International, GRA Ikeja, Lagos with several celebrities and dignitaries in attendance.

In the words of a member of the organising committee, the award ceremony was part of their way of recognising and acknowledging inspirational women who are doing extra-ordinary work in their communities, businesses and in public service.

“The award was also in recognition of the ability to go beyond and above the normal call to duty with neither expectation of reward nor clamour for the spotlight,” she added.

Ebele who has defied all odds by delving into an area held as an exclusive preserve of men, has hung in there, blowing with vigour and dexterity this wind instrument called flute over the years.

Not only that, she went a step further to create a platform through which she teaches those interested in the art and process of manipulating the musical instrument.

Elated Ebele The Flutist, in a chat with DAYLIGHT.NG, spoke passionately about the huge recognition and what it means to her.

“It’s a part of my “dream come true” story. This is the second recognition award that I’ll be getting as “The First Nigerian Female Flutist”.

“I made God my ‘Dream come true’, and every other dreams are getting fulfilled”, she exclaimed.

She further urged her fans to go get her song entitled “Dream come true”, produced by Cobhams Asuquo.

Meanwhile, Ebele has been nominated in various awards since she embarked on her career pursuit, but this is very spectacular to her, being the fact she’s recognised for what she represents.

“I give God Almighty all the credits for seeing me through to this level.

“So much thanks to ‘Symbol Of Hope Foundation International Women’s Day/Award 2017’…God bless you richly, and to all my friends, Fans out there, I appreciate you all”.
