The Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) was founded in 1999 by the “six angry men” comprising Fidelis Duker, Sam Azubuike, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, Victor Okhai, Madu C. Chikwendu, and Jeff Obahor.
It is the umbrella body for film and television directors in the Nigerian motion picture industry, globally known as Nollywood.
Top director, Mathias Obahiagbon was its pioneer national president.
