Ikorodu agog as Tuface leads Timaya, Flavour, Di’Ja, others to Glo Mega Music Tour

The sprawling city of Ikorodu, Lagos State, will this Saturday play host to the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour,  the 27-city  flagship show of the fully integrated  telecommunications company, Globacom.

The show, which kicked off in Awka, Anambra State, on April 15, 2017, had berthed in 26 different cities and locations such as Aba, Calabar, Asaba, Benin, Victoria Island, Ajah, Ikeja, Benin, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Ekpoma, Enugu, Kubwa, Abuja, Suleja, Makurdi, Lokoja, Ayingba, twice in Port Harcourt and Ibadan, Akure, Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode.

In a press statement issued to announce the Ikorodu edition of the popular show in Lagos on Thursday, which was made available to DAYLIGHT.NG, Globacom said that the event would be held at Ikorodu Musical Village at 4.00 p.m.

According to the statement, artistes billed to perform at the show include the new hi-hop sensation, Axterix, Marvin records queen, Di’Ja, the nation’s great vocalist, Kiss Daniel, the Nabania crooner, Flavour, the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Timaya, and the Idoma-born music master, Tuface.

The company added that in addition to the A-List artistes billed to perform at the concert, “the show will be anchored by Nollywood divas, Juliet Ibrahim Uche Jombo, while Nollywood legends, Patience Ozokwor, a.k.a. Mama G, Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) would be making guest celebrity appearances.

Globacom said the show is holding for the fifth time in Lagos, adding that “this goes to show the prime place Lagos State occupies inour minds in the scheme of things. As a company, we believe  that nothing is too big for us to celebrate and reward our teeming subscribers for their loyalty and faith in the Glo Brand”.

Just last Sunday, residents of Ajah and its environs were treated to a generous dose of laughter when the sister show, the Glo Laffta Fest, held in the locality.

While explaining that the show is free of charge, Globacom said, “all a subscriber willing to attend the show needs to do is to recharge his or her Glo SIM card with a minimum of N2,000 within a month for either voice or data usage and send a text message “MUSIC IKORODU”  to a short code 207. The subscriber will then get a message inviting him or her for the show”.
