India holds two Nigerians over cocaine, biscuits laced with LSD
India Police have arrested two Nigerians over their involvement in a drug racket.
The Police seized 300 grammes of cocaine, 42 grammes MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine), three LSD biscuits from their possession, the Weekend Leader reported.
Seven others including two Africans were nabbed over the crime on Wednesday.
A car, an air gun and mobile phones were also seized from the accused by the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Limba Reddy, said six accused including the Africans were arrested in Banjara Hills when they trying to sell the drugs.
Two Nigerians have been identified as 37-year-old Chika Ohycowusi and 32-year-old Lucky Bongani. They were allegedly supplying the contraband from Goa.
In another operation, the Task Force arrested three accused linked to the same racket from the Masab Tank area of the city.
The police were trying to identify the customers of these peddlers.
The new racket came to light even as the enforcement wing of the Prohibition and Excise Department of Telangana is continuing its probe into the sensational drug racket busted earlier this month.
The Special Investigation Team has so far arrested 13 drug peddlers, who were supplying drugs to school and college students and Tollywood celebrities.
The SIT has summoned 12 artistes from the Telugu film industry including some leading actors and actresses for questioning in the earlier case.
On the first day of the questioning, director Puri Jagannadh appeared before the SIT officials on Wednesday.
Those arrested in this case include US citizen Dundu Anish, an aerospace engineer who had earlier worked with the NASA, and seven B.Tech graduates, most of whom were working for multinational companies. Punch
