Nigerians have taken to the social media to condemn the alleged murder of a young man who has been identified as Kolade Johnson.

Kolade was reportedly murdered by FSARS operatives who had reportedly visited his residential area on Sunday afternoon, to arrest one of the boys of a major music producer who was wearing dreadlocks.

Events soon took a drastic turn as the operatives reportedly fired on Kolade, leading to his death before he could receive medical attention.

The incident, which happened around Mangoro/Onipetesi community in Lagos State, led to the blocking of the Oshodi/Abeokuta Expressway as residents protested the murder.

Kolade’s murder came on the heels of the killing of an American rapper Nipsey Hussle, and though Hussle’s murder is also trending on the social media, angry citizens have told the Nigerian media to focus on reporting Police brutality at home, instead of letting the Hussle killing take the shine off Kolade Johnson’s murder.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the F-SARS, even as the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, told our correspondent that the Command will investigate the matter.

Coming under various trending hashtags that include: Kolade Johnson, #EndSARS #PoliceReforms #EndPolicebrutality and #ReformPoliceNG, the following are some of the things Nigerians are saying about the Kolade Johnson alleged murder by the operatives of FSARS: musicnews
