Kris Jenner and Legally Blonde star Jennifer Coolidge have joined Mean Girls castmates Jonathan Bennett and Stefanie Drummond, and singer Troye Sivan in the much-anticipated video for Ariana Grande’s new hit Thank U, Next.

The promo parodies the coming-of-age movies Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, Bring It On, and 13 Going On 30, and features a string of blink-and-you’ll-miss-them cameos.

Jenner plays a proud mum videotaping a high school Christmas revue, while Grande’s Dance To This collaborator Sivan is among the rumour mongers at the beginning of the fun film, which dropped on Friday (30Nov18).

“I heard she’s a lesbian who’s now dating a chick called Aubrey…,” Troye’s character says, before he’s pushed into a school locker by Ariana.

Drummond makes an appearance and pokes fun at Grande’s recent split from fiance Pete Davidson, stating, “I heard Ariana broke off an engagement so I found a guy to propose to me and then I broke off an engagement.”

The Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip also features comedienne Colleen Ballinger and YouTube star Gabi DeMartino, who hit the headlines over the summer when she transformed herself into Grande.

Lindsay Lohan who starred in the original Mean Girls, has already addressed the new video, in which Dynasty actress Elizabeth Gillies takes on her Cady Heron role from the cult movie.

“Ain’t nobody Lindsay Lohan like the real Lindsay Lohan,” the 32 year old wrote on Instagram. “But so flattered by @arianagrande loving #MeanGirls so much! Also, I love #dynasty.”

Ariana’s new video dropped hours after the singer scored a third week at the top of the U.K. charts with Thank U, Next. The track has also spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in America.musicnews
