Madipotwana launches ground-breaking online magazine

The publication before your eyes is the SouthGerian Lifestyle Magazine and part of a SouthGerian Lifestyle movement which should enthral you.

It is the first of a series of quarterly editions which will be a gift and platform to enlighten you about all things South Africa and Nigeria, as well as the rest of the African continent. Hopefully, you will find this first issue and subsequent ones as such. The publication is the brainchild of Mmadipotwana Media agency which is wholly owned by female entrepreneur Molebogeng Matli. It is produced in partnership with Mike Ezuruonye, an award- winning Nigerian actor Mike Ezuruonye who is co-founder of the SouthGerian Lifestyle division.

The publication is designed to be a bridge that is sorely needed to profile pertinent issues on the economy, development and social fronts in the continent’s two economic powerhouses and brotherly nations. It’s expected that overtime, it will be a partner of choice in Africa’s journey of growth and prosperity. Befittingly, the magazine’s launch coincides with the recent ratification of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement, a pact that is designed to ease the growth and development trajectory of the continent.

The on-line publication was launched together with the unveiling of SouthGerian Lifestyle website at a glitzy event on 21 March 2021. A timely and important Freedom Day when the world joins South African citizens to celebrate the end of their bondage and acceptance into the league of nations by peace loving, caring and fellowship of a democratic world.

The launch was hosted appropriately, at Freedom Park Heritage Destination in Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa and was attended by personalities of note and dignitaries including, Mrs Jane Mufamadi; Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Park; Mr MC Calvalho, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Portugal; Patrick Zhuwao from Wits Business School; Mr Adetunji Omotola, founder of the Guild of Nigerian Professionals SA and owner of African Wine Circle; Hon. Agboola OluFunke Ayoola, representative of the Nigerian Women’s Association SA; Sonwabile Ndamase, President of SA Fashion Awards and CEO of Vukani Range Creations famed for the Mandela shirts; Ms Phuti Matlou, Banyana Banyana Soccer legend; Charity Aigbekaen, President of Nigeria National Students Association SA and, Dr Clement Akintoye of Nigeria Doctors’ Forum South Africa. The occasion was serenaded by the Romeo & Juliet of the local gospel industry and celebrity couple, Bongi and Collin.

Matli was enthralled with the launch. A female businesswoman, Matli who is the overseer of SouthGerian Lifestyle division, works to fulfil the objective of strengthening South Africa and Nigeria relations and, to magnify their competitive advantages as the continent’s leading economic giants.

The launch was a thrill for magazine founder, Matli to witness the birth of the platform.  “It is mostly to unite the two nations, and for citizens, business and all professions to present economic solutions for the benefit of the rest of the continent. Through the movement, Africans will have a bridge to walk across as they drive solutions for Africa and the globe; explore, expose, exploit their talents and excellence to their benefit; tell their story as brothers and sisters, unite their own continent and, inspire hope and pride in themselves.”

Speakers and guests had all but, praise for the platform. “The magazine will amplify relations, strengths, people to people exchanges, cultures, arts and showcase business opportunities. “It’s a start to leveraging off each other, exposing and enjoying our cost effective and bountiful tourism gems than the costly Europe.” – Jane Mufamadi.

“People without knowledge of their history are lost like lifeless leaves with no direction or sense of self. “Creative people need such platforms to expose the needed ties that bind together our singular identity and not only hight where we are going but also where we come from.”- Sonwabile Ndamase.

“This is a positive contribution towards merging the two countries culturally. Women in sports have to be recognized and given equal opportunities.” – Phuthi Tlou.

The first of edition of SouthGerian Lifestyle Magazine will be released on the 1st of April 2021, and the launch of SouthGerian Lifestyle division in Abuja, Nigeria will be on the 27th of April 2021.
