Ondo teenager kills mother for calling him bastard
An 18-year old teenager identified as Tope Momoh has strangled his mother to death for calling him a bastard.
Tope admitted to killing his 52 years old mother, Stella, two weeks after she was buried.
He was said to have committed the offence in the midnight on September 6, 2022 at Ikakumi Akoko.
Tope, who was arraigned before an Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court on a one count charge of murder, pleaded for mercy.
The prosecutor, Nelson Akintimehin, informed the court that the cause of the mother’s death was unknown until her son confessed to be the killer.
Tope’s plea was not taken as the presiding Magistrate, Musa Al-Yunnus, ordered his remand at the Olokuta Correctional Centre.
Al-Yunnus adjourned the case till October 20, 2022. Nation
