Panic as gunmen attack college of education in Lagos, kill two

Gunmen killed a student and a lecturer at Michael Otedola College of Primary Health Education in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Officials of the college confirmed the attack to The PUNCH on Sunday.

According to them, a student, Razak Bakare, and lecturer, Ahmed Saheed, were killed within 48 hours intervals.

It was learnt that the lecturer was killed around Poka town in Epe, while the student was shot dead on campus.

Our correspondent gathered that the situation created panic on the university campus.

“The student was killed on campus on Wednesday and the lecturer was shot dead on Friday. we have informed the police,” a security official in the college told our correspondent.

When asked if the attackers were cultists, the official said, “No one knows their identity. They just killed and left.”

Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, proved abortive as of the time of filing this report. Punch
