PDP bombs APGA: You are suffering from internal bleeding

The Peoples Democratic Party has called on the All Progressives Grand Alliance to look inwards to solve the crisis in the Anambra State House of Assembly and stop blaming outsiders.

The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Anambra State, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu, made the call while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Awka, the Anambra State capital

APGA had accused the PDP of masterminding the crisis in the state Assembly.

The Anambra State House of Assembly dominated by APGA on November 13 allegedly impeached the Speaker of the House, Rita Maduagwu, and replaced her with Ikem Uzoezie. The development led to the sealing of the Assembly complex by the police. APGA had alleged that the crisis was created to orchestrate the impeachment of the state governor, Willie Obiano, by making the state ungovernable.

Obiano’s growing closeness with the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government had heightened apprehension in some quarters that he might work against the interest of the PDP in the state in next year’s elections. His predecessor, Peter Obi, is a running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

But Nwangwu on Wednesday described APGA’s allegation as ridiculous and unfounded, adding that the party was suffering from internal bleeding, resulting from its “skewed primaries.”
