PDP’s Abba Yusuf leads Ganduje in Kano as INEC declares 43 LGAs of the 44 LGAs
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Kano, Abba Yusuf, is ahead of the incumbent governor Dr Abdullahi Ganduje of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC after 43 of the 44 Local Government Areas’ results have been collated.
However the result so far indicates that the PDP scored 951,531 votes, while the APC has 935,451 votes. With only one local government left, the PDP is comfortably leading with a margin of 16,080 votes. The APC is leading in the the number of local governments while the PDP is leading in the figures. The PDP is in the winning because results margins at the APC winning points are slim while they are wide in the PDP winning points.
Meanwhile, INEC has adjourned collation of Kano governorship and state assembly election results for a short while over the alleged attack on collation centre of Nasarawa local government area in the early hours of Monday at about 1.30am.
