Realnews Eighth Anniversary Lecture Holds November 19,
Theme: “Managing COVID-19 Global Pandemic in Africa: The Nigeria Experience”
The Management of Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited, publishers of Realnews Magazine Online, has selected “Managing COVID-19 Global Pandemic in Africa: The Nigeria Experience” as the theme for its Eighth Anniversary Lecture coming up on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
This year’s lecture series will be delivered by a renowned top government official of an African country who played a key role in mapping out policies aimed at containing COVID-19 while a renowned chief executive officer of a national oil company and a New York-based medical doctor at the epicenter of the pandemic in US, will speak on the contributions of the oil sector and health workers in containing the pandemic, respectively. The event will equally be chaired by Chief Medical Director of one of the foremost Health Institutions in the country. We will announce their names and that of the Chief Host, who also played a key role in managing the pandemic in one of the epicentres in Nigeria, as the time of the lecture nears.
The venue is Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, by 10am prompt.

The 2019 Seventh Anniversary Lecture of Realnews on “Beyond Politics: An Economic Narrative for West Africa” was delivered by Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama while the 2018 Sixth Anniversary Lecture on “Political Transitions and Africa’s Economic Development” was delivered by Professor Mahmood Yakubu, chairman if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The 2017 Fifth Anniversary Lecture on African Leadership in a Turbulent Era was delivered by Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, former minister of Education and former World Bank Vice President. The 2016 Fourth Anniversary Lecture on
Security and National Development in Plural Democratic Society was delivered by Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas, United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative to West Africa and Sahel; 2015 Realnews Third Anniversary Lecture was delivered by Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on November 19, 2015 under the theme:Its The Nigerian Economy, Stupid? The Second Realnews Anniversary Lecture on Nigerian Democracy: Getting it Right in 2014 was delivered by Professor Maurice Iwu, former Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
