Rhythm FM Editor, Richard Edoki, Others To Participate In US International Visitors Leadership Programme 2017
Silverbird Rhythm FM journalist, Richard Edoki has been selected alongside other professionals by the United States government to participate in its 2017 International Visitors Leadership Program, IVLP in the United States.
The Cross River State born News Editor, is among nine other Nigerians invited for the three weeks program between October 16 and November 3 on the theme, Substance Abuse Prevention and Rehabilitation”.
Richard Edoki, a Mass Communication graduate is an Alumnus of Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa, a Michael Bloomberg Sholarship Programme.
The three weeks program is expected to help participants especially journalists like Mr Edoki, explore the opportunities in health education, substance abuse and prevention as well as research and development, treatment, care and rehabilitation of substance abusers.
The IVLP launched in 1940, is the U.S Department of States Exchange Program that seeks to build mutual understanding between the U.S and other nations through short-term visit to the U.S for current and emerging foreign leaders.
