So long! Dan Masanin Kano, Maitama Sule, passes on in Cairo

An elder statesman, Alhaji Maitama Sule, died at the early hours of Monday in an undisclosed Hospital in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, where he was rushed to for medical attention.

One of Maitama Sule’s surviving son, Alhaji Mukhtar Maitama Sule, who confirmed the death of his father, said he died in Egypt, 24 hours after arrival at the hospital.

According to him, his dad’s remains would be flown to Nigeria tomorrow for a befitting burial, according to Muslim injunctions. Punch
