Tears in Nollywood as ex spokesman, Frank Dallas dies

Nollywood is currently in tears and mourning following the sudden and sad death of actor and producer, Frank Dallas.

Dallas, a father of two was also a former national public relations officer of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

DAYLIGHTNG.COM reliably learnt he died while attending a summit in Umuahia, Abia State.

He reportedly died on Wednesday in his hotel room.

Confirming the sad news to DAYLIGHTNG.COM, star actress and the public relations officer of AGN, Monalisa Chinda- Coker, said: “With heart full of sorrow, we announce the sudden death of the immediate past National PRO of GNU, Frank Dallas Ebulukwu.”

She added: “The National President of AGN, Ejezie Emeka Rollas has declared three days of national mourning and prayers across all state chapters including FCT, Abuja.

In view of this, all official activities of the Guild at all levels are hereby cancelled for three days.

State Chapter Chairmen are instructed to open condolence registers in his honour from Monday, 24/02/2020.

Monthly meeting for February is dedicated to mourning and prayers. We shall be guided accordingly while we await further directives and burial arrangements from the family.

May his gentle Soul rest in peace,” her signed statement stated.

 

Popularly called ’Adedibu’ in movie circles, Dallas hails from Ohafia in Abia State and was very active and jovial in the industry.

Monalisa Chinda defeated him to emerge AGN national PRO in an election held late last year.
