Tension as gunmen attack Bayelsa police station, kill officer, three others

One policeman and three others were allegedly injured when some yet-to-be-identified gunmen attacked a police station in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Tuesday morning.

As reported by Channels TV, an eyewitness said suspected oil thieves invaded the police station at about 8:00am on Tuesday morning.

Two days ago, unidentified gunmen had also struck in the Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, where they reportedly abducted a local boat owner, Mr. John Okotoro.

Three weeks ago, gunmen also killed some personnel of the Joint Military Task Force in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe. Punch
