The governorship candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje has vowed to continue with his campaign despite the violence visited on his supporters and the defacing of his posters by members of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Agbaje who spoke this morning on News Hub, a breakfast show on Silverbird Television, called on Lagosians to support his aspiration because he has all it takes to turn the state around.

The governorship candidate also used the medium to commiserate with those who sustained different degrees of injuries following the unprovoked attacks that was apparently planned to coincide with the flag-off of his campaign.

According to Agbaje, the ruling party is jittery because his campaign is driven by issues but he has promised his teeming supporters that no amount of violence will distract him and members of his party, the PDP.

On the issue of vote buying which characterized the recently held elections in Ekiti and Osun State, Agbaje called for vigilance because the phenomenon is bad for democracy and development.

He called on politicians to educate the electorate on the dangers of vote buying, particularly in a budding democracy like ours.

Agbaje who thanked his supporters for keeping faith, reiterated his promise to free Lagos State from the grip of a few who do not mean well for them.
