Wizkid beats out Drake, SZA, Cardi B, JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar to win Best International Act at MOBO awards

 

 

He has become the first African artiste to win Best International Act at MOBO awards

Davido also went home with an award on the night .

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that popular Nigerian musician Davido and Wizkid had been nominated in different categories at MOBO awards.

Well, both stars went home with awards at the prestigious event. Davido who also performed on the night won the award for Best African Act beating out Eugy, Juls, Maleek Berry, Mr Eazi, Sarkodie and others.

While Wizkid went home with the award for the Best International Act beating Drake, SZA, Cardi B, JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar and more.

Wizkid’s win makes him the first African Artist to have won the BET Award and MOBO Award for Best African Act, MTV EMA for Best Worldwide Act and also his recent Best International award.

Starboy also joins Fuse ODG as the only two Africans to have won three awards at the MOBO Awards. Congrats to both Nigerian kings!
