Transparency International (TI) in its 2017 corruption perception index (CPI) scored Nigeria 27/100 with a rank of No. 148 out of 180 countries surveyed — a significant 12 places below where it was the previous year.

“It is a clear indication that the current presumed fight against corruption by the APC Government is targeted at opposition party members, with personal vendetta and revenge mission by a few highly placed political office holders in the government. This shouldn’t be.

Corruption will be brought to the barest minimum to ensure that agencies like TI have a more positive perception and ranking for Nigeria.
