The victims were among the 60 residents abducted in the Adunu community in the Kafin-Koro area of Paikoro local government area and Beni community in Munya local government area of Niger State last two weeks.

Terrorists invaded Adunu and Beni communities two weeks ago and raided the two communities, killing a medical practitioner and abducting over 60 persons, including women and children.

The Nation learnt the victims were killed following the inability of their families to secure the N100 million ransom demanded by the terrorists.

A retired police officer Moses Tanko, and another man were among those killed by the terrorists while three others were among those abducted from Beni community in Munya local government area.

A source close to the District Head of Adunu, Mallam Kabiru Bawa, disclosed that three women who were abducted were released by the terrorists to inform the community what have happened to those who they killed.

The women said that they were told to tell the community that more abductees would be killed if the demand for the N100 million is not met.

Efforts to get the Niger Police Command and Commissioner for Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar to comment regarding the latest development were not possible as none of their numbers were going through. Nation
