Anambra governorship supplementary election holds on Tuesday in Ihiala local government area of the State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not conduct an election in the area last Saturday because it failed to deploy any person there over security concerns.

The commission, after deliberation on Sunday night with security operatives, announced the supplementary poll will hold on Tuesday.

Ihiala local government area has a total of 148,000 registered voters, which the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo; his APC counterpart Senator Andy Uba and Mr Valentine Ozigbo of PDP will vie for.

Soludo leads the pack in 18 local government areas out of 21 announced by INEC while Ozigbo and Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP won one LGA each.Nation
