Another award for Nigeria’s queen of Hikkoso music, Floxy Bee

Floxy Bee

In 2012, the Nigerian- American  “Eko Wengele” crooner, Chief Mrs Florence Trautman a.k.a Floxybee, the Queen of Hikkoso Music, was made the Yeye ASA (Mother of Culture) of Ile Ife Iyanfoworogi in recognition of her music achievements and her efforts over the years to further the musical and cultural traditions of Nigeria throughout the diaspora.

On June 24th, 2019, a number of diaspora luminaries gathered in Newark City Hall for the Pan-African Unity Empowerment Forum, 400 years Anniversary of Enslaved Africans where she was given  Special Recognition Award.

Dignitaries present at the event included: the Consular General of Ghana, Mr. Samuel Amaoko,  Vice Consular General of Haiti, Mr. Guetary Roche, Honorable Mayor Ras Baraka of Newark City, Consul President of Newark, Mildred Crump, Prince Adekoya, Dr  Khafani,  Hon.Dosso Aboubakar Kouyate of African Commission, President of African Newark International, Barbara King, the organizer of the event and a number of community and business leaders.

Floxybee the Queen of Hikosso Music who gave a laudable speech and also performed at the event, was very elated by the honour and recognition bestowed on her by the City of Newark.
