Ganduje
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as its national chairman.
On Friday, the former two-term governor of Kano resigned from his position, citing a need to attend to his health as the reason for quitting the position.
NAN reports that Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary of the APC, confirmed Ganduje’s resignation in a statement issued on Friday night. Morka said the resignation, which was to enable the former chairman to attend to “urgent and important” personal matters, was with immediate effect.
Ganduje’s resignation letter was addressed to the party’s national working committee (NWC) through Ajibola Basiru, the national secretary.
Morka said Ali Dalori, APC’s deputy national chairman (north), had been directed to assume the position of acting national chairman, pending the meeting of the national executive committee (NEC) in December. Thecable
