Azuh Amatus is a multiple award-winning journalist with over two decades experience.
At 25, he emerged as one of Nigeria’s youngest editors when he edited Hearts, a national Magazine, between 2004 and 2005.
Today, he is also one of the youngest members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), having joined in 2012.
He was the pioneer editor of Entertainment Express (Nigeria’s first entertainment newspaper) and Sunday Express, respectively.
An authority on Nollywood and entertainment matters, he has also worked with various media houses spanning both print and electronics.
He was the pioneer Society Editor of The Sun Newspapers and handled its Showbiz Desk for six years, with so much acclaim.
He is also an entertainment consultant/public affairs analyst.
A graduate of Mass Communication with a Masters in Communications Studies (MCS) degree from the Lagos State University.
For his immense contributions to the nation as a leading youth and role model, the Federal Government of Nigeria through its Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) made Azuh an ambassador and decorated him as one of its Celebrity Special Marshals.
Azuh, is also a member of both the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
He is also a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Guild Of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), respectively.
He is also the CEO/Founder of the famous Nollywood Media And Research Centre (NOMAREC), the leading resource hub for reliable and accurate information on Nollywood.
Widely travelled Azuh, is the founder of NOLLYWOOD GIANTS, a premium and revered Whatsapp platform for top Nollywood Stars and Stakeholders.
He is also the National President/Founder of the Movie Reporters Guild Of Nigeria (MORGON), the foremost association for journalists covering Nollywood.
Azuh is the CEO of Mattuxx Media Limited and Matikomx Publications Ventures, which are both leading and reputable Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Entertainment and Creative Consultancy firms based in Lagos.
Azuh is the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of DAYLIGHTng, a revered and leading daily online newspaper with its corporate head office in Lagos State.
He is also the founder of DAYLIGHTTV, a fast growing news and entertainment channel on YouTube.
Azuh is also the initiator and prime mover of Daylight Annual Leadership Awards (DALA), an award scheme that rewards and celebrates excellence in leadership positions.
Azuh, whose hobbies include writing, reading, travelling and networking, is the founder and creator of Bowler Hats Bash, an annual comedy and music concert holding every Independence Day, October 1, in Nigeria.
He is also the owner of Showbizplusng, one of Nigeria’s oldest and reliable blogs.
Amiable and cerebral Azuh is also a High Chief in his community, where he holds the Ozo title of Ogbuehi Onyeogaziri 1 of Azia, in Ihiala, Anambra State.
