Group felicitates with Okowa, Nani

The Aghwemutuwevwi Political Forum (APF), a pressure group under the Peoples Democratic Party, in the bid to celebrate the birthdays of His Excellency, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Executive Governor, Delta State; and Chief Barr. John Obukohwo, Executive Director, Finance and Administration, DESOPADEC, recently gave out different items as empowerment to the people of Ethiope West in Delta State.
The ceremony which was witnessed by a huge crowd kicked off with a visit to Merciful Orphanage Home, Oghara, Delta State; where food items were given to the orphans in the home. On getting to the empowerment venue in Jesse Town, Delta State, the group also gave out grinding machines, rechargeable barbing salon hair clippers; and pest-control machines for farmers as part of their empowerment scheme.
Speaking at the venue, Engr. Ochuko Gbeburu ( National Co-ordinator APF), said that the exercise was the second phase of empowerment being carried out by the Group and they chose to use it to celebrate the birthdays of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, and her Grand Patron, Chief Barr John Obukohwo Nani. He then advised those present that anyone who didn’t benefit from the second phase of the empowerment scheme should not worry as there were more empowerment schemes in the pipeline.
The National Patron of the Group, Comr. Johnson Okpoh, immediate past Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ethiope West, in his address admonished recipients of the scheme to use the items they were giving and not to sell them. He said that through these items, they can climb to greater heights in their lives.
Chief Wellington Oyibo, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters used the medium to thank the Executive Governor of Delta State, who has deemed it fit to appoint an illustrious son of Idjerhe Kingdom as Executive Director, Finance and Administration in DESOPADEC. According to him, Ethiope West Local Government Council appreciates the Governor and like Oliver Twist, is expecting more appointments.
Conclusively, the Principal Secretary in person of COMR. SAGBOJE ODIRI MILTON to Chief Barr John Obukohwo Nani, who is also the National Secretary of the Forum, recounted the numerous projects and empowerments Chief Barr. John Obukohwo Nani has brought to the Idjerhe Kingdom and Ethiope West in general. He stated that all the empowerment and development became possible because of the recognition given to Chief Nani by His Excellency, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. He went further to state that as far as the Group is concerned, they are ready at any point in time to deliver the Peoples Democratic Party mandate as they have always been doing.
