Authorities in Brazil have launched an investigation after a 20-year-old woman died suddenly while travelling on a long-distance bus, with dozens of iPhones later discovered glued to her body.
According to Dailymail, the incident occurred during a trip from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo.
According to reports, the young woman began experiencing health complications while the bus made a scheduled stop at a roadside restaurant in Guarapuava, located in the central region of Paraná State.
Emergency services were called when the woman reportedly complained about breathing difficulties. Responders from the Mobile Emergency Care Service attended to her at the scene.
“She was treated by Mobile Emergency Care Service workers, who said she was awake but struggling to breathe. Shortly afterwards, she began to show signs of respiratory distress and appeared to suffer a seizure.”
Despite efforts to revive her, which lasted for 45 minutes, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Paramedics attempted to revive her for 45 minutes, but she was declared dead at the scene.”While administering aid, medics noticed unusual bulges on her body and uncovered several packages strapped to her skin.
