COVID-19: With 78 new infections, Lagos cases now 582

Lagos State has recorded 78 new cases of coronavirus, The PUNCH reports.

This brings the total number of infections in the state to 582, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

The Centre also said the total number of cases in the country hit 981 while 197 recoveries and 31 deaths have been recorded.

Announcing via Twitter on Thursday night, the NCDC stated, “108 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported; 78 in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Plateau. Punch
