DAYLIGHT Person of the Year: Why Elumelu, Adeduntan, Wigwe emerged winners

Three great Nigerians and revered bankers, Messrs: Tony Elumelu, Adesola Adeduntan and Herbert Wigwe have emerged DAYLIGHT Online Newspaper Persons of the Year 2022.

Elumelu, is the globally acclaimed philanthropist chairman of United Bank For Africa (UBA), while Adeduntan, a financial guru, is the MD/CEO of First Bank Nigeria Limited and Wigwe, the revered banking czar, is the CEO of Access Holdings.

According to a statement released by the board and editors of DAYLIGHT, these distinguished Nigerians are being honoured and celebrated for their immense contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy over the years.

In the words of the publisher and editor-in-chief of DAYLIGHT, Azuh Amatus, the three recipients of the DAYLIGHT Person of the Year award, are great Nigerians, whose immense and invaluable contributions to the growth of our nation’s economy cannot be quantified.

“They are the true heroes of the Nigerian economy and their impacts are felt everyday in our daily lives, through the laudable works they keep doing for us, our nation and humanity in general. Aside being wealth creators, they have also assisted immensely, in providing gainful employments to millions of Nigerians over the years. They are true and thorough national icons and we are very proud of them and their significant contributions to Nigeria and the black race.

I say a very big congratulation to them for this richly and well deserved honour bestowed on them by DAYLIGHT’’.

Meanwhile, a date will soon be made public for the colourful public presentation of the awards to these great Nigerians, stated Amatus, who is also the author of bestselling books, Famous Faces…Interactions with Nollywood Stars and Stakeholders.
