Enugu: Missing APGA gov aspirant found dead

The governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the just concluded 2023 general election in Enugu State, Chief Dons Udeh, has been reportedly found dead.

Udeh, who was said to have got missing on Saturday, was reportedly found dead on Wednesday at the 9th Mile area of the state, barely four days after.

Udeh, an engineer, was a former Enugu State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party and had remained a member of the party till he defected to APGA to pursue his political ambition to become the governor of Enugu State.

Although details of his abduction and recovery of his remains were still sketchy, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident to The PUNCH in a telephone call.

Ndukwe didn’t provide any details. However, he promised to get details and revert back.

Meanwhile, a family source told our correspondent that Udeh was last seen on Saturday which raised suspicion that he might have been kidnapped.

“On Sunday evening, his telephone was found by the wall of the Ogui Police Station, confirming fears that he could have run into trouble.

“His wife who had been trying the line was later informed that the phone had been found.”

Following the recovery of the telephone, the wife went to the Ogui Police Division where she reported the disappearance of her husband. Punch
