Diri
A former National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mark Jacob, has said that Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri should vacate his seat for allegedly ceasing to be a member of any political party.
Jacob made the call on Tuesday in an interview on ARISE News, amid growing controversy surrounding Governor Diri’s reported resignation from the PDP.
PUNCH Online reported that Diri last week declared his resignation from the opposition party, stating for “obvious reasons,” but did not elaborate on his grievances with the party or why he has left.
While he has not formally announced it, there have been rumours that he will join his Enugu counterpart, Peter Mbah to decamp to the All Progressives Congress. Punch
