Ex-presidential candidate backs Trump, faults FG on insecurity

Former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Adewole Adebayo, has backed United States President Donald Trump’s recent remarks on the killings in the country.

Adebayo also insisted that President Bola Tinubu has failed in his primary duty to protect citizens and should resign if he cannot stop the bloodshed.

Speaking on Tuesday at the 2025 National Electoral Reforms Summit in Abuja, Adebayo argued that the worsening insecurity in the country validates Trump’s concerns and exposes what he described as government indifference and corruption in the management of national security.

“Let me speak about the situation of Mr Trump and his interest in Nigeria. I thank Trump for showing interest because, frankly speaking, we are not that relevant to them. Punch
