Four die as container falls off truck on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A five-year-old boy and three others were said to have died in an auto crash which occured on Wednesday on Kara bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The mother of the five-year-old boy also had his left leg trapped under a 20- feet container fasten to a Mack truck which fell, and its trunk detached and fell into the Ogun river beneath the Kara bridge.

The woman and the late son were said to be passengers on a commercial motorcycle before the container fell on them.

The three occupants of the truck who fell into the river with trunk of truck were reported dead.

However, Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the woman whose left leg was trapped under container was later rescued and taken to the hospital.Punch
