FRSC warns: Bad roads, insecurity making night travelling dangerous

FRSC boss, Oyeyemi

The Kogi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has warned against night travelling as it has become unsafe for motorists and commuters in and around the state.

The command said the warning became necessary considering the deplorable state of most roads and the increasing level of insecurity.

The FRSC Sector Commander in Kogi, Mr Solomon Agure, made the assertions in a statement in Lokoja.

Agure added that no good road experience could come out of speeding, overloading, use of phone while driving, use of mechanically deficient vehicles, failure to use seatbelt and safety crash helmet.

He urged motorists to avoid running foul of traffic rules to avoid accidents, maintaining that drivers should guide against violating the stated infractions and other anti-safety vices. Punch
