Gunmen kill police inspector, abduct wife in Kaduna

A police inspector, Donfa Chirtip, has been killed and his wife, Victoria, abducted at Kurmin Kare in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, made this known on X on Saturday.

Makama stated that the Donfa, attached to the Special Protection Unit Base 7, Abuja, was reportedly attacked while returning from his farmland with his wife on Friday.

According to him, the cop’s lifeless body was found in a farmland within the community later in the evening.

He further stated that security operatives who arrived at the scene, however, found a deep cut on his neck.

“The deceased, identified as Inspector Donfa Chirtip of the Special Protection Unit Base 7, Abuja, was discovered lifeless on Friday evening with a deep cut on his neck in a farmland within the village. Joint patrol teams swiftly moved to the scene, where the officer’s body was found. Punch
