German champions Bayern Munich are looking to sign €110m rated Victor Osimhen as replacement for wantaway Polish striker Robert Lewandowski this summer, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Lewandowski has made his intention to leave Bayern Munich this summer known to the club.

The 33-year-old favoured a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, while Premier League giants, Chelsea are also rumoured to be interested in luring him to England.

The Bundesliga champions are considering a number of top options to replace the former Borussia Dortmund forward and the Nigeria international is one of them.

According to Italian news outlet, Corriere dello Sport and Football Italia, Bayern officials have contacted Napoli to ask for information about the 23-year-old and the feasibility of a possible deal this summer.

“Bayern Munich contacted Napoli to ask for information about Victor Osimhen and the feasibility of a possible deal. The German giants are looking to replace Robert Lewandowski and are considering a number of top options,” Corriere dello Sport revealed.

Osimhen, who won the Italian Serie A Most Valuable Player for U-23 footballers, is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after a fine season in Italy.

He scored 18 goals and registered six assists for Napoli in all competitions despite missing a chunk of the season with injury.

Meanwhile, Napoli have set a deadline date of July 8 for clubs interested in Osimhen to come forward with their bids or forget about signing him.

This is because the Partenopeans, who will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, want to get the deals for the striker sorted out as soon as possible and have stated that offers beyond the stipulated date would be turned down. Punch
